Mta Overseas

Mta Overseas is tucked away in Jama Masjid Lane 6, over in Warsi Nagar. It is a narrow street, so if two cars try to pass each other, everything comes to a standstill. Our place is right in the middle of it all. We share the lane with a lot of families, so you can often hear kids playing or someone cooking lunch nearby. The smell of spices is usually in the air. Our office is more like a workshop, honestly. We have benches along the walls where we inspect the items before they get wrapped up. It is a bit of a tight squeeze when the new stock arrives. We have to move the chairs out of the way just to get the doors open all the way. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we have not found the time to do it yet. Most of the people working here have lived in Warsi Nagar their whole lives. We know the neighbors and they know us. The work is not anything fancy, just making sure the overseas orders are sorted out properly. We use a lot of bubble wrap and brown paper. It gets quite loud when the mosque nearby starts the call to prayer, but it is a nice rhythm to our day. We just keep our heads down and get the packing done before the pickup truck arrives in the evening.
