Dev Yen Co.

Dev Yen Co. is situated in the Kanchanshala Building on Bazigaran Street in the Pan Dariba area. It is a very old part of the city and the streets are quite narrow and crowded. Our office is up on one of the higher floors, so we get a bit of a view of the rooftops around us. The building itself has seen better days and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but it has a lot of history. We deal with various trading activities and a lot of administrative work. Our desks are covered with stacks of paper, old ledgers, and telephones that ring more often than we would like. There are only four of us in the office, so it is a very tight-knit group. We have worked together for so long that we don't really need to say much to get things done. The area outside is always buzzing with the sounds of the local market and the smell of street food. We usually send someone down to get snacks for the whole office around four o'clock. We don't have any modern office furniture or fancy decorations. It is just a functional space where we come to do our jobs every day. We know the other tenants in the building well and we often chat in the hallway. It’s not a corporate environment at all, just a group of people working hard in a busy part of town.
