Down in Moradabad, specifically near Bala Ki Sarai, you’ll find Avon Hair Dressers. We are situated in the Kanjari Sarai area, which is a place most locals know well. It’s not a massive shop, just a regular place where we cut hair and do the basic grooming stuff. The street outside is usually full of people going about their business, and we are just one small part of that daily rhythm. Being in Muradabad Up means we see all sorts of weather, from the dusty dry days to the heavy rains that sometimes flood the corners of the road. We’ve got a few chairs and the mirrors are kept as clean as we can manage for our customers. People stop by when they have a bit of time or if they have a wedding or something coming up in the family. We don’t have a website or any of that fancy stuff, we just stay here at the shop. The neighborhood is quite old, and you can feel that in the way the buildings are clustered together. Kanjari Sarai has a certain character to it that you don’t find in the newer parts of town. We just keep the scissors moving and chat with whoever is in the chair. It’s a simple life, really. We open the shutters early and stay until the sun goes down and the street lights come on near the sarai. It’s just what we do every day. We aren't trying to be anything other than a local hair dresser.
