Booth 36 in Phase 9 Mohali isn't a huge space, but we make it work. Most days start with a pile of laptops left over from the night before. The fan in the corner makes a clicking sound that I should probably fix, but you get used to it after a while. People from around Mohali drop in with all sorts of issues, mostly broken screens or machines that won't turn on. It gets pretty busy around noon when the local offices are on break. I spend a lot of time looking for specific spare parts in the back drawers. There is a lot of dust that comes in from the street, so cleaning the glass counters is a never-ending job. The tea guy next door brings over a couple of cups every afternoon, and that's usually when we catch up on what is happening in the market. It is mostly just me and a couple of others here trying to keep up with the repairs. Sometimes we stay late when a difficult job comes in, especially if someone needs their data back urgently. The lighting is a bit dim towards the back where the soldering iron is kept. It is not a fancy place by any means. We just have shelves full of cables, old monitors, and cardboard boxes. It feels like home because I have been here so long. Most of our regulars know to call before they come because the shop gets crowded quickly.
