Our office is a bit different because we are located in Village Lehli, near the Dappar post office in Dera Bassi. You would not always expect a software company to be out here in the village, but it works for us. Spine Software Systems Pvt. Ltd. has been here for a while now. It is quieter than being in the middle of a big city, which helps when you need to concentrate on coding or fixing bugs. We have a few rooms filled with computers and some very tired-looking chairs. The internet connection can be a bit temperamental sometimes, especially when the weather is bad, but we make it work. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad. We spend our days staring at screens and trying to figure out why a certain piece of software isn't doing what it is supposed to. It can be frustrating, but we usually figure it out after a few cups of tea. We do not have any fancy break rooms or ping-pong tables like the companies you see on TV. We just have a small kitchen where we heat up our lunches. People in Lehli know us as the tech folks. We like being part of the community here. It is a practical way to run a business. We don't need a skyscraper to build good systems. Just a quiet place and some decent computers to get the work finished.
