Our company, Mamford Agro Farmers Producer Companylimited, is located way out in Village Nadgahana. It’s a quiet spot near Karaundi in the Lalganj area of Mirzapur. Lalji is the one who helps manage things from our base here. Being in a village like Nadgahana means we are right in the middle of the action when it comes to farming. We are a producer company, which mostly means a group of us farmers decided to join forces. Life in Mirzapur revolves around the seasons and the weather. We spend most of our time out in the dirt, checking on the crops and making sure the irrigation is working right. It’s not an easy life, but it’s what we know. The post office is in Naudali, and that’s where we get our mail, but our hearts are in the fields of 231211. We don’t have a big staff, just local folks who know how to work a plow. Sometimes we sit around and talk about how to get better seeds or where to sell the harvest. There’s a lot of trial and error involved. We aren't some polished corporation from the city. We are just Lalji and the rest of the crew trying to make sure our village stays productive. It’s practical work and we take it one day at a time, hoping for a good rain and a decent harvest. We don't need much else besides that and some fair prices.
