Nilay Plastic Industries

Our factory is located over at 57/58 in the GIDC area of Kukarwada. It is part of the Ubkhal section in Vijapur, out here in Mehsana. Being in the industrial zone means there is always something going on with trucks and materials moving in and out all day long. We focus on plastic products here. The machines run pretty much all the time to keep up with the work. It can get quite hot inside the building, especially during the summer months in Gujarat, but we are used to the heat by now. The floor is usually covered with raw plastic pellets or finished parts waiting to be packed up. We started small, and now we have this space in the GIDC which gives us enough room for the molds and the extruders. It is not a quiet job, the sound of the plastic forming is something you hear all the way from the street. Most of our workers live nearby in the taluka, so we all know each other pretty well. We are not trying to be the biggest place around, just a steady operation that does the job right. We get our shipments out on the main road and keep things moving. There is always maintenance to do on the units or floors to sweep, so it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. It is just a regular manufacturing life for us.
