You can find us at the Sardarbag Shopping center, shop number 28. It is right on the S.T. Road in Viramgam. Being so close to the bus station means there is always a lot of noise and people moving around outside. Khakhriya Farmer Producer Companylimited is where we manage things for our group. We chose this spot because it is easy for farmers to reach when they come into town for their other errands. The office isn't very big, but we have enough space for a few chairs and all our records. Most of the time, the floor has a bit of dirt on it because people are coming straight from their fields in the Ahmedabad district. We don't mind that much. It is better to have a busy office than a clean, empty one. We deal with whatever the members are growing in the taluka. Sometimes it is wheat, sometimes other grains, depending on what the water situation is like. We spend our afternoons drinking tea and talking about the market rates or how the transport is going to be arranged. It is a practical way to run things. We don't bother with fancy titles or anything corporate. Everyone just helps out where they can. If you walk past the shopping center, you will likely see us sitting out front or busy with some bags of produce. It is just a normal part of the Viramgam street life.
