Universal Chemical Industies

Universal Chemical Industies is set up at Plot No. B-31 in the Partapur Industrial Area. Being right off Delhi Road means we see a lot of traffic and big rigs passing by at all hours of the day and night. The industrial area is a pretty dusty place, especially when the wind picks up, so there is a lot of cleaning to do. We have a decent amount of space on our plot for storing the chemicals and materials we work with. It is mostly just rows of drums and containers sitting out or under the sheds. The work is physical and we are often outside in the yard checking on stock or helping load up a truck. The sun can be quite harsh out here on Delhi Road during the summer months. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. Our office is just a small room with a couple of old desks where we keep the ledgers and handle the phone calls. Most of the people we see are drivers or other folks working in the nearby plots. It’s a straightforward way of life, focusing on the tasks at hand and getting the orders ready. There’s always something that needs fixing or moving around the yard. We have been here for a while and have gotten used to the noise from the highway. It just becomes background noise after a few weeks of working here.
