Sonu Dj Sound

You can find me over at Sonu Dj Sound, right on the Main Road in Ganga Nagar. We are pretty close to the Manisha Medical Store, which most people in Meerut know well. I’ve spent a lot of my life around big speakers and tangled wires. It’s noisy work, but I like it. When there’s a wedding or a big party on the street, we’re the ones loading up the rickshaw or the small van with the sound system. Those base boxes are really heavy, and my back definitely feels it after a long weekend. Meerut can get really crowded, so getting the gear through the traffic on Ganga Nagar road is always a bit of a gamble with time. We don’t have a polished showroom. It’s more of a workspace where we test the amps and make sure the microphones aren't buzzing. Sometimes the wires get frayed and I have to sit there with a soldering iron for an hour. It’s not just about playing music; it’s about making sure the electricity doesn’t trip in the middle of a dance. I’ve seen all kinds of celebrations, from small birthdays to massive street festivals. People come by the shop to chat about their dates and what kind of lighting they want. It’s honest work and it keeps the neighborhood lively. If you hear loud music while walking near the medical store, that’s probably us just testing out the gear.
