Pooja Jagran Party

We are based out of House No. 391 in Sector 4, Madhavpuram, right off Delhi Road in Meerut. Our work is mostly about organizing and performing at jagrans and religious gatherings. It’s a lot of late nights because these events usually go on until the early morning hours. We have a small group of singers and musicians who have been together for a while. Our house is often full of instruments like harmoniums and dhols, and there’s always someone practicing or fixing a microphone. Being in the 250001 area means we are close to many of the families we serve. We don't have a professional manager or a sleek office; we just take bookings over the phone or when people stop by the house. It’s a very traditional way of doing things. Sometimes we travel to nearby villages, but mostly we stay around Meerut. The van gets packed with sound equipment and carpets every time we have a session. It’s tiring work, especially when the weather is cold, but it’s what we know how to do. We aren't looking to be famous; we just like being part of the community's spiritual life. You can often hear us practicing if you walk past our place in Madhavpuram. It’s just a simple life built around music and local traditions here on Delhi Road. We mostly rely on word of mouth to keep things going from month to month.
