Our place is right on the Ganga Canal Road in the village of Tuglakpur. It is a rural area near Purkaji, so things move a bit slower out here. You can actually hear the water from the canal when the wind is blowing the right way. We deal mostly with herbs and organic products. Growing things without using those heavy chemicals takes a lot more effort and time, and that is what we spend our days doing. We have the Khasra number 181/1 marked out. It is not a polished operation at all. There is mud on our boots most of the time, and our hands are usually dirty from the soil. We work with the plants directly. The local weather dictates our whole schedule. Sometimes the rain is too much, and sometimes the sun is just too harsh for the younger plants. We just take it day by day. Herbs are finicky things to grow. They need a lot of constant attention. People in the village know us as the folks who are always fussing over the organic patches. We are not trying to be some big brand you see on the television. We are just local growers. We spend a lot of time drying things out and making sure everything looks okay before it goes out. If you are driving down the canal road, you might see us out there. We do not have a receptionist. You usually have to find us in the fields.
