Dev Krishna Public School

Dev Krishna Public School is found on Basi Road in Khekra, which is in the Baghpat district. It’s right on the road, so it’s very easy to spot when you are coming into Khekra. We have students coming in from the town and also from the smaller villages nearby. The building has a few floors and we have squeezed in as many classrooms as we can to fit everyone. The road outside can be quite dusty and loud with the local traffic, but we just shut the windows and get on with the lessons. We have a small area for the kids to stand in for the morning prayers. The teachers here are hardworking and they spend a lot of time grading papers in the small staff room. We don't have a big playground or anything like that, but the kids find ways to have fun in the spaces we have. It’s a very practical place. We follow the local curriculum and make sure the students are prepared for their tests. The 250101 area is a typical part of Baghpat, and we are just a normal part of the daily life there. We don't use any big words to describe ourselves. We are just a school where children come to learn their ABCs and math on Basi Road. It’s a simple life and we just keep it moving one day at a time. It keeps us busy.
