Canvas Pre School

Jail Chungi Crossing is always a mess of traffic and noise. We are located right there at 140/2 in Meerut. You can hear the horns honking all day long from the classrooms while we are trying to work. Being a pre-school, we deal with a lot of crying toddlers in the morning, which is just part of the job. It’s a small place, not a big campus with a stadium or anything like that. We have just enough room for the little ones to sit on the floor and play with their blocks or draw. We spend a lot of time cleaning up spilled milk or helping kids find their missing shoes. The crossing is a landmark everyone in Meerut knows, so finding us isn’t hard for the parents. Most of the families work nearby or live in the colonies around the jail area. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone fancy like that. It’s just a couple of us who live in town and wanted to run a place for the local kids. The walls are painted with bright colors, though some of it is peeling now and needs a bit of a touch-up. We just keep going, day after day. When the clock hits noon, the parents are all lined up outside the gate, making the crossing even more crowded than usual. It’s a bit chaotic, but it’s our daily routine and we are used to it.
