Dayawati Modi Academy Ii is located right in Modipuram. It’s a place where we spend most of our daylight hours. The area around us has changed a bit over the years, but the school stays pretty much the same. We have a routine that starts early and ends once the last bus leaves the gate. Most of the staff live nearby, so we see each other at the shops too. It’s not just about the lessons in the books, although that’s what we spend the most time on. We have to make sure the hallways are swept and the water coolers are filled. In the summer, it gets quite hot here, so we try to keep the rooms as cool as possible. The desks are lined up in rows and we try to keep the chalkboards clean for the next day. It’s a lot of small tasks that keep the place running. We don’t really have a PR department or anyone like that, so we just talk to the parents when they come to pick up their kids. It’s a straightforward setup. Some days are quieter than others, especially when the kids are away on holidays. When they are here, it’s constant noise and movement. We just try to keep things moving along without too much trouble. Modipuram is a busy spot, and we’re just one part of it. We keep our heads down and do the work, making sure things stay on track for everyone involved.
