A N Engineering Works

If you head down Meerut Road, you’ll find us over by Sujroo Chungi. A N Engineering Works has been sitting in this spot for a good while. It’s a bit of a dusty area with all the trucks and traffic moving toward the city, but we like it. The shop is filled with tools and parts we’ve collected over the years. There’s always the smell of oil and metal in the air, which I guess is normal for a place like this. The floor has some oil stains that aren't ever coming out, but that’s fine. We spend most of our time at the workbenches. It gets loud sometimes when the machines are running, so you have to shout a bit to be heard. We don't have a fancy office or anything. There’s just a small corner with a table and a couple of plastic chairs where we sit to have tea. The fan wobbles a bit, but it keeps the air moving. People around Sujroo Chungi know us as the guys who are always covered in grease. We don't put on any acts. If the work is there, we do it. Sometimes we stay late if a job is proving difficult. Other days, we close up early if things are slow. It’s a practical way to live. Meerut Road is always busy, so there’s never a dull moment looking out the front gate.
