Talandamayee Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited is located over in Purbagopalpur. If you’re looking for us, you’ll find us at Lakshmi Kanta Sau’s place in the village. It’s out near Keshapat in the Purba area. We are a group of farmers who thought it would be better to work as one unit instead of everyone just doing their own thing. It’s not a fancy setup at all. Most of the time, the office is just wherever we happen to be standing in the field or sitting in the shade. We deal with the typical stuff you’d expect from an agro-producer group. We look at what crops are doing well, try to help each other with tools, and figure out where to sell what we grow. The village life is simple but the work is hard. There aren't any big corporate meetings here, just a lot of talk about soil, rain, and fertilizers. Sometimes things go well, and sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate, but that is just how farming is. We’ve been at this for a while now, and everyone in the village knows who we are. We don't have a big staff, just local folks putting in the hours. It’s a bit disorganized at times, but we get the job done. We just want to see the local farms do okay so everyone can keep going. We keep our paperwork in a small room and try to stay on top of the rules.
