Divyashakti Granites is located in the Divyashakti Complex, which is a well-known building at 7-1-58 in Ameerpet. If you have ever been to Ameerpet, you know how hectic the traffic is around here. The complex itself has been around for a while, so it has that older feel to it. Our space is usually filled with the sound of people talking and the occasional heavy thud of a stone sample being moved. We spend most of our hours looking at spreadsheets or talking to the guys at the quarry. It’s a lot of back-and-forth communication to make sure things are moving on schedule. The office is functional, but it’s definitely not a showroom you’d see in a magazine. We have stacks of files and blueprints everywhere. Most of us have been working together for years, so we don't really bother with being too formal. We usually order lunch from one of the small places nearby and eat at our desks while we work. The granite business is tough because you are dealing with natural materials that don't always behave the way you want them to. There are days when everything goes wrong with a shipment and we just have to figure it out as we go. It’s a gritty, practical way to make a living, and the Ameerpet energy keeps us on our toes from morning until the time we head out.
