We are Mayuram Farmers Producer Company Limited. Our office is on the first floor, F.10, in the AK Complex. That is on Sengamettu Street in Mayiladuthurai. We are right in the heart of the town, which makes it easy for farmers from the surrounding Nagapattinam areas to reach us. Being in a complex means we are surrounded by other businesses, but our focus is strictly on the agriculture in this region. We aren't a big corporation with lots of layers. It is just a small team of us handling the business side of farming for our members. We spend our days coordinating between the growers and the buyers. It involves a lot of phone calls and paperwork, but it is necessary to keep things running smoothly. Sengamettu Street is usually pretty busy, so there is always something going on outside. We don't bother with fancy advertising or polished brochures. Most of the people around here know us because we’ve been working with the local farming community for a long time. We try to be helpful and straightforward with everyone who walks through the door. It can be a bit hectic during the harvest seasons, but we manage. Most of the people involved have their own land too, so we understand the problems farmers face here. It’s a very grounded way to run a business, and we prefer it that way. We just do what we can for the folks in Mayiladuthurai.
