If you ever find yourself on North Street in Anaikuppamnannilam, you might pass by our place at number 745. We go by Bhasharupha Farmers Producer Companylimited, but most people around here just know us as the local farm group. It’s not a big operation with glass walls or anything like that; it’s just a regular building where we store some of our stuff and handle the paperwork for the farms. We’ve got a small team, mostly just folks who grew up around these fields and know the soil better than anything else. Most of our time is spent out in the sun or talking to the other farmers about what’s growing well this year. The office is usually a bit messy with sacks and old ledgers, but we know where everything is. We don’t spend money on fancy marketing or big signs. The one we have out front has seen better days, but everyone knows we are here. It’s about getting the work done and making sure the crops get to where they need to go without too much fuss. Sometimes the truck is late or the weather turns bad, and we just have to deal with it as it comes. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it’s been working for us. We are just a bunch of neighbors trying to make the most of what we have on North Street.
