Out here in Ghosi, things move at their own pace. Our college is located right in the Mau district and it’s been a part of this landscape for quite a while now. Students travel from all over the Ghoshi area to get here for their post-graduate studies. The building itself is simple and honest, just like the people who study inside it. We don't have those big glass walls you see in cities. Instead, we have thick walls that keep the heat out during the summer months. Every morning, the cycle stands fill up and the corridors start humming with talk about upcoming exams and assignments. It’s a lot of work keeping everything organized, from the library books to the lecture schedules. Our staff is mostly local people who understand what it’s like living and working in this part of Uttar Pradesh. We deal with the usual stuff like rain delays or the occasional technical glitch with the computers. It isn't always perfect but we manage to get things done. People come here to improve their lives and we just provide the space for that to happen. You can hear the town sounds from the windows, but inside we try to keep it focused on the books. It's a straightforward place with a lot of history in these halls. We just keep the doors open and the lights on for the next generation of students coming through our doors.
