Raman Ideal Public School

Raman Ideal Public School is situated in the Dhauli Pyau area of Mathura. It is right in the middle of a residential part of town, so we get a lot of kids from the nearby houses who just walk to school every morning. The address is 281001 if you are looking for it on a map. The building isn't brand new, it has some character and a few cracks here and there, but it’s sturdy. We have a main gate that stays shut during the day for safety. Inside, the walls are covered with some old charts and student drawings. The classrooms have wooden desks that have been used by many students over the years. We have a small office where the principal sits, and there is usually a stack of registers on the desk. The bells are manual, so someone has to go out and ring them for every period change. It’s a noisy place when the kids are moving between classes, but it settles down once they are back at their desks. We have a small open area in the middle where we do the morning prayer. It’s not a fancy place with high-tech gadgets, just a regular school with people who show up and do their jobs. Mathura gets hot, so the fans are always on full blast. We’re just a part of the local community here.
