Mount Hill Academy

The school is located up on Mount Hill in Mahaban. If you know the Mathura area, you know it can get pretty dusty and hot, but being up on the hill helps a little bit. We have a view of the surrounding land, which is nice when you need a break from looking at a chalkboard. The academy is just a solid building where we gather every day. There are a few trees around the yard, and we try to keep them watered, though they struggle in the peak of summer. Most of the kids come from the nearby parts of Mahaban or travel a bit from Mathura city. The classrooms are simple. We don't have fancy gadgets everywhere, just tables, chairs, and the usual school supplies. You can hear the birds outside more than the traffic, which is a change from the busier parts of town. We have a small playground area where the grass doesn't always grow perfectly, but it’s fine for a game of tag. The morning assembly happens out front, and then everyone heads inside to start the lessons. It is a quiet existence out here. We don't have much to brag about other than being a place where people can come to learn. The teachers usually walk in with their lunch boxes and stay until the afternoon sun starts to lean. It’s just Mount Hill Academy, doing what we do every single day without much fuss.
