Our small team works from the second floor of the Abco Trade Center, which is right by Kottara Chowki. It’s a busy area with plenty of traffic, but once you get upstairs to our office, things quiet down a bit. We spend most of our time dealing with software and system solutions. It’s a lot of sitting at desks and looking at screens, but we try to keep the atmosphere light. We don’t really go for the corporate look, so you’ll see some messy desks and old coffee mugs scattered around. It’s just a real office where people actually work. We have a few windows that look out over the road, which is nice for a bit of a distraction when the brain gets tired. The trade center has a lot of other businesses, so there’s always someone new in the elevator. We don’t have a big reception area or anyone to open the door for you; you just walk in and someone will look up from their computer. We’ve been at this for a while and have figured out how to handle the daily rush without getting too stressed. Lunch usually involves someone going out to grab food for everyone else. It’s a simple setup and it suits us just fine. We just focus on the technical tasks and try to make sure everything is working like it should before we head home.
