Dotcom Computers

Dotcom Computers is up on the first floor of the H.S. Tower in Thokkottu. If you’re in the Permannur area, you probably know the building. We’ve been here for a good while now. We mostly fix laptops and desktops that have slowed down or stopped working. People bring in their machines when they get those blue screens or if they spilled something on the keyboard. We also keep some parts like hard drives, RAM, and cables. It’s a small shop, mostly filled with tools and half-opened computers. We aren't a big showroom. It’s more of a workshop where we actually get our hands dirty with the hardware. Sometimes we sell refurbished systems if we can get them running well again. Most of our customers are students from nearby or people working from home who can't afford to be without their computers for too long. We try to get things fixed pretty quick, but some parts take time to arrive if they aren't in stock. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit steep, but once you're inside, it's a decent space. We don't do much marketing; people just find us when they have a problem. We use a lot of screwdrivers and thermal paste every day. It’s just us doing what we know about technology without any of the fancy talk you get at the big malls. We're just regular guys who like fixing things. Sometimes we even help with setting up small networks for offices nearby. It’s just what we do to keep things going in the tower.
