Coreland Associates

Coreland Associates is based out in Mangalore, specifically in the Permannur area near Patla Post. It’s a bit of a trek from the main heart of the city, which we actually prefer because it’s a lot quieter here. The air feels a bit different than the crowded city streets. We have a small office setup that isn't much to look at. There is a wooden desk where the main paperwork stays and a few plastic chairs for when people stop by. The post office is close, so we see the postman almost every day. He knows us by now. Mangalore gets a lot of rain, and during the monsoon, the sound on the roof is so loud we can barely hear each other. We just keep our heads down and get through the lists. The walls are painted a simple off-white, and we have some old calendars hanging up. There isn't a fancy reception desk or a lobby. You just walk in and we are right there. Most of the people working here are from the local area. We talk in the local language mostly and only use English for the official stuff. It’s a very practical way to work. We don't spend money on expensive furniture or decorations. We would rather just have good working lights and a solid floor. It is just an honest way to run a small business in a quiet corner of town.
