We are over at Sanjauli Chowk, right on the first floor at shop number 83. If you know the area, you know how busy it gets around here with everyone rushing to catch buses or get some shopping done. Oxabyte Technologies is just our name, but mostly we are a few folks sitting with computers trying to figure things out. It’s not a huge office, just a practical space where we spend most of our day. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit narrow, but once you're inside, it’s quiet enough to get things done. We started this because we wanted to work in tech without leaving the hills. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet acts up when the weather gets bad, which happens a lot in Shimla, but we manage. We don’t have a big receptionist or fancy coffee machines, just a kettle in the corner. People often ask what we actually do here since the name sounds a bit technical, and we just tell them we work on software and digital stuff. It’s a straightforward life. We show up in the morning, deal with whatever is on the screen, and head home when the sun goes down behind the mountains. It’s a decent spot to be. You can see the whole market moving from our window. It makes the day go by a bit faster when you’re stuck on a tricky bit of code or a project that isn't behaving.
