Sri Sai Ram General Engineering Works

Out here in Randlaguda village, things stay pretty busy at the shop. We opened Sri Sai Ram General Engineering Works because there was a lot of machinery in Jannaram that needed fixing. It’s mostly repair work and making small parts when someone’s tractor or tool breaks down. The shop isn't very large, but we have the tools we need to get things moving again. Sometimes a job takes longer if a part is hard to find, but we try to figure it out. It’s a lot of grease and metal shavings every day. We don't spend much time sitting down. Usually, someone is calling about a weld or a frame that's bent. We just take it as it comes. Being in a small village means you know everyone who walks in. They don't look for anything fancy, just a fix that holds up. The heat gets to be a lot in the middle of the day, so we start early. Our floor is usually covered in scrap, but we know where everything is. It's just honest work. We don't have a website or anything. If someone needs us, they just drive down or ask around the village. Sometimes we help out with gates or window grills too, if that's what's needed. We've been at this for years now, just keeping the equipment running for the local farmers and builders. It can be exhausting, but it is what we do. There's always a new problem to solve with some old machine.
