Mohon Brick Industries

We operate out of 47A, Bippen Ghose Road, which is in Village-Aghirampur. It is tucked away in the District of Malda, near Post-Mukdanpur. Mohon Brick Industries is just a small outfit where we make bricks the old-fashioned way. The yard is usually quite busy with activity from sunrise onwards. We have a lot of space out here in Aghirampur, which is good because we need plenty of room for the bricks to sit and cure. Malda is known for its soil, and we make use of what is around us. We don't have any big corporate offices or high-tech gear. Most of our tools have been repaired many times over. It is a simple life of physical labor and watching the weather. When the sun is out, we are working hard to get as much done as possible. If the rain comes, we take a break and sit under the tin roof of our small shed. We know most of the people who come to buy from us by their first names. They are neighbors or people from the next village over who are building something for their family. We don’t do any advertising. People just know where 47A Bippen Ghose Road is and they show up when they need something. It’s a lot of lifting and stacking, day in and day out. We just keep going until the work is finished and the orders are filled. That is how we survive.
