Satyamma Gundu

Satyamma Gundu is based out of house 2-58/1 in Gunumukla Village. It is a small place in the Dhanwada Mandal area. We’ve been living and working here for many years. The village is usually quiet, except for the sounds of cattle and the occasional tractor passing by on the main road. Our house is easy to find because everyone knows everyone else around here. We don’t have any big signs or advertisements. People just know to come to the door if they need something. We handle various tasks depending on the season and what the community requires. Sometimes we are busy with local trade, other times things slow down significantly. The porch is where we spend a lot of time talking to neighbors who stop by for a chat. It’s a very simple setup with just a few rooms and a lot of history. We don’t try to act like a big company because we aren’t one. It is just a local business run by local people. The weather in this part of the district can be very dry, so we try to do most of our heavy lifting in the early morning. By the afternoon, the heat is too much and we retreat into the shade. It’s a rhythm we’ve followed for a long time. We just take each day as it comes and try to be helpful to those around us.
