Nanavath Rukali

My name is Nanavath Rukali and I stay at 5-68 in Chimanguntapally village. This is in the Wanaparthy mandal area. Life here is mostly about the seasons and the work we do on our land. Our home and our business are pretty much in the same place. It’s a small village where everyone knows each other’s business, for better or worse. We’ve lived in this district for generations. I handle the daily tasks around the house and whatever work comes our way from the neighbors. It’s not like we have a big company with employees. It’s just us family members helping each other out. Sometimes people from Wanaparthy come by if they need something from our side of the village. We don't have a website or anything like that. If you want to talk to us, you usually have to come to house 5-68 or find someone who has my mobile number. The days start early here, usually before the sun is fully up, and we finish whenever the work is done. It’s a simple existence, and we don't ask for much. Chimanguntapally is a quiet place except during festival times. We just keep our heads down and do our part. I’ve seen many people move away to the cities, but we like it here in the village. It’s our home and where we belong. That's the story of us.
