Katravath Bujji Bai

My place is H No 4-51/2 in Sangayapally Thanda. It’s part of Venkatreddy Pally village in the Gandeed Mandal. It’s a bit of a distance from the main towns, but we like the quiet out here. I run things under my name, Katravath Bujji Bai. It’s not a big company with hundreds of employees. It’s just me working from my home and the area around it. We see the seasons change through the crops and the weather on the hills. Most of my work involves helping out the local people with what they need. Whether it's small supplies or just some local trade, I stay busy enough. The house is always open for neighbors who stop by. We don't have any big signs or advertisements on the road. Everyone in the Thanda knows where I am and what I do. It’s been this way for a long time. Sometimes the rains make the roads a bit difficult, but we manage. I don't use any computers for my work, just some notebooks and my memory. It feels more real that way. I've grown up in this district and I know how hard people work here. I try to be part of that and do my share. It’s a simple life and my work is just a part of that daily rhythm. I don’t need much more than my family and my community around me. It's a peaceful place to be.
