Venkatraj Traders

Venkatraj Traders is situated at 71 Vilacheri Road. It’s an old building, nothing really special to look at from the outside. We’ve been here long enough that the paint is starting to peel a bit in the corners. We trade in various goods that people around here need for their daily projects. The road gets quite loud with all the bikes and buses passing by. Inside, it’s a bit quieter. We have shelves lined with stock, and I usually know where everything is even if it looks a bit cluttered to someone else. There is a small desk where I sit and handle the receipts. I don’t use a computer much; a pen and paper still work fine for me. Most of our customers are locals who live nearby or work on the surrounding streets. They stop in to see what we have or to pick up something they ordered a few days back. We don’t do any big advertising. If someone needs something, they find us. The rain sometimes leaks a little near the back door, so we have to move the bags around when the clouds look dark. It’s just how things go. We keep the shop open six days a week. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy. We don’t have a website or anything, just the shop on Vilacheri Road and our regular daily routine.
