Venkataraman V

I am Venkataraman V, and my place of work is located at No 42 on North Veli Street. If you know Madurai at all, you know that North Veli Street is one of those places that never really sleeps. Being in Arapalayam means I am right in the thick of things. The Arapalyam Bus Stand is just a short walk away, so there is always a constant stream of people and vehicles moving past the front door. My office is a small room that opens almost directly onto the street. It can get pretty dusty with all the buses going by, but that is just part of being in this location. I have a simple desk and a few chairs for anyone who stops by to talk. I don't really have a big team or anything. It's mostly just me managing the files and talking to people. Sometimes I’ll have a neighbor from one of the other shops come in for a chat when things are slow. I’ve been at this address for years and I know most of the bus drivers and shopkeepers nearby. It is a very busy, very loud, but very real part of the city. I don't use any fancy computer systems for everything; I still like to keep a lot of my notes by hand. It feels more reliable that way. People know where to find me if they need something.
