Thangam Travels

Thangam Travels is located right near the Periyar Bus Stand, which is probably one of the busiest places you can find in Madurai. Our office is in the 34-D Shopping Complex, right on the ground floor, so nobody has to worry about climbing any stairs. Being so close to the main bus stand means there is constant noise and people walking by with heavy bags all day long. We have been sitting in this same spot for quite some time now, just helping people get their travel plans sorted out. It is a small shop, mostly filled with some old wooden desks and chairs that have seen better days. We don't really go for anything fancy here. We just focus on getting the bookings done for cars and buses. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded inside when a few families come in at once, but we manage. You can usually hear the bus horns blaring from the street while we are talking to customers. It is a very practical place to be because travelers can just walk over from the bus stand if they need a car to get to a village or a nearby town. We drink a lot of tea from the stall nearby to keep going through the afternoon. It is just a regular local business run by people who know the city well. If you are near Periyar, you will see the shopping complex easily enough.
