Subha Sri Travels

Our place is at No 4 on South Avani Moola Street, right across from the Ranimangammal Chathiram and very close to the railway junction. Being this close to the station means we see a lot of people coming off the trains looking for their next ride. We started Subha Sri Travels to help with that transition. The street outside is always packed with cycles, autos, and people walking to the temple. It can be a bit chaotic, but that is Madurai for you. Inside the office, we keep it pretty simple. We have a few chairs for people to sit while we look up travel options for them. We handle a lot of local trips and some longer journeys too. It’s a family-run kind of feel here, even if we aren't all related. We’ve learned that being right by the junction means you have to be ready for anything. Someone might show up at 6 AM needing a van for ten people. We just do our best to find a solution. We don't spend money on fancy decorations; we’d rather just keep the lights on and the cars running. It’s a straightforward business. We talk to the drivers, we talk to the passengers, and we try to make sure everyone knows where they are supposed to be. It keeps us on our toes all day long, especially during the festival seasons here when the crowds really get thick.
