Being on the first floor means I have to haul heavy speakers and equipment up and down those stairs, which is quite the workout every single day. I’ve lived in Madurai my whole life and the energy near the bus stand is something else. The office is filled with cables, mixers, and all sorts of audio gear. It isn't the most organized space, but it works for what we do. You can hear the buses pulling in and out all day long. Sometimes the tea stall downstairs brings up a glass for me when things get hectic. Madurai is a city that doesn't really sleep and neither does this business. We are always preparing for some event or checking if the sound quality is right. It’s a lot of manual work and checking connections over and over. I don't really have a fancy desk or anything. I just use whatever flat surface is available among the amplifiers. It is a practical way to live and work. We just take it one event at a time.
