Geethanjali Orchestra

Geethanjali Orchestra has its home at No 3/321 on Church East Street. We are located in Iravathanallur, which is a part of Madurai that many people know because of the Theppakulam. In fact, we are right near the Theppakulam area, so it is a nice spot to be in, especially in the evenings when the air cools down a bit. Our place on Church East Street is where we keep all our instruments and where we occasionally practice. It is a simple building, nothing too modern, but it suits us just fine. The address is 625009 if you are looking it up. Being in Madurai, there is always some kind of celebration or event happening, so we stay pretty busy with the music. We aren't a big corporate group, just a bunch of people who like playing together. The neighbors are used to hearing some noise coming from our direction every now and then. Sometimes the street gets a bit narrow with parked bikes, but that is just how it is in this part of town. We spend a lot of time checking our gear and making sure the speakers are working right. It is a lot of manual work, lifting heavy equipment into vans and driving around. We have been here for a while and the locals know where to find us if they need an orchestra for a local function. It is a decent place to work and the Theppakulam is a good landmark.
