S. V. S. Vetrivelnadar

Our business is situated at No. 281 Kamarajar Salai in Madurai. We are right in the Vilakuthoon area, which is famous for its old lamp pillar and the busy markets surrounding it. It’s a very historic part of the city, and being here feels like being part of something much older than ourselves. S. V. S. Vetrivelnadar has its roots deep in this local soil. The street outside is always buzzing with people, scooters, and the occasional cart. It’s loud and vibrant, which is just the way Madurai is. Inside our space, things are a bit more organized, though we still have that traditional feel. We don't use a lot of modern office furniture; instead, we have heavy wooden desks and old-fashioned cupboards. The smell of the city—a mix of jasmine from the flower sellers and street food—often drifts in through the front door. We spend our days meeting with people who have been our customers for a long time. It’s more about relationships here than just transactions. We speak the local language, drink a lot of coffee, and keep track of our accounts by hand or on an old computer. It’s not a fast-paced corporate life. It’s a steady, reliable rhythm that matches the pace of the neighborhood. We are proud to be a small part of the Vilakuthoon community.
