Madura Packagings

We are located at 110-A on the Bye Pass Road over in Bethaniapuram. It’s a convenient spot because the big trucks can get in and out without too much trouble, though the road gets really dusty in the summer. The warehouse for Madura Packagings is basically our second home. We spend most of our hours surrounded by stacks of cardboard, rolls of tape, and all sorts of wrapping materials. It isn't a quiet place; there is always the sound of someone moving a pallet or the noise from the traffic outside on the bypass. We’ve been at this location for some time now, and we know the neighbors well. My brother and I usually handle the heavy lifting, and we have a couple of guys who help out when things get really backed up. The office is just a small corner with an old desk and a fan that squeaks a little. We don’t have any fancy signs or a big lobby. Most of our work is just making sure the orders are ready for the morning pickups. If a machine breaks down, we fix it ourselves and keep going. It is hard work, but it feels good to see the stacks of finished goods ready to go out. We stay until the last truck leaves, then lock up and do it all again the next day. It is just the way we do things here.
