Karupaiya Raj

My name is Karupaiya Raj and I run this travel service from No 3, Panthadi 5th Street. We are very close to the Naicker Palace, which is a place everyone knows in Madurai. Because of the palace, there are always tourists and lots of local people moving around our street. It is a bit of a tight squeeze for cars sometimes on 5th Street, but we manage to get in and out. This isn't a big company with a board of directors. It is just me and a few others making sure the cars are running and the passengers are happy. We do a lot of local trips around the 625001 zip code. Sometimes we get asked to go further away, like to the hills or other towns, and we try to accommodate that when we have a driver available. The office is just a plain room where we keep our logs. We don't use any high-tech gadgets, just some basic phones and a lot of local knowledge. If you're looking for a ride near the palace area, we are usually around. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years, but the way we do business stays pretty much the same. We just provide a car and a driver and hope the traffic isn't too bad that day. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late at night.
