Gokul Real Estate has been based at No.8 in the HIG Colony for a long time now. If you know Anna Nagar, you probably know the 80Feet Road. It’s a busy stretch, but once you turn into the colony, things get a lot quieter. Our office isn’t anything fancy. It’s just a ground-floor space where we keep all our records and meet people. We don't have those big glowing signs or polished marble floors. It’s a very simple setup with a few desks and some chairs that have seen better days. We spend our day answering the phone and talking to neighbors who might be looking for a new place or thinking about selling their house. We’ve seen Anna Nagar change quite a bit. New cafes and shops pop up every month, but we stay right here in our corner of the HIG Colony. There’s a big tree right outside that gives us some shade in the afternoons. Sometimes we just sit on the steps and watch the world go by. We aren't trying to sell anyone a dream. We just tell them what we know about the local streets and the water situation or the electricity. It’s practical stuff that matters to people living here. We usually have a pot of coffee going and the local newspaper on the desk. It’s a relaxed atmosphere. We just do our bit to help folks find what they need without any fuss. The neighbors are good people and we enjoy being here.
