Gay Travels

We are set up over at 12 A on Central Bus Stand Road. If you know where the Daily Thanthi office is, we are just a short walk from there. Since we are right by the bus stand, it’s always loud and busy outside. We mostly deal with travel arrangements for people passing through Madurai or locals heading out for work or family visits. The office is small and tucked away, but it serves its purpose. We have been here long enough that we know the bus schedules by heart. It’s not a glamorous job, sitting behind a desk and writing down names and times, but it’s what we do. Sometimes the phones don't stop ringing and other times it's just us sitting here watching the street. We don't use any high-tech systems, just the basic logs and a bit of local knowledge. People come in looking for a way to get to the next city, and we try to find them a seat. The heat in Madurai can be a lot, so we usually have the fan going full blast while we work. It is a simple life running a travel desk. We don’t make big promises, we just tell you what time the bus leaves and how much the ticket costs. That’s how we’ve always operated here near the bus stand. We are just a few guys trying to keep the office running every day without making any big fuss about it.
