Bon Enterprises

Our business, Bon Enterprises, is located at 40, B2/1, Mankattitheppakulam St. in Melur. The street name is a bit of a mouthful, but once you’ve been here, it’s easy to remember. It’s a typical street in Melur with a mix of small shops and houses. Our place is on the ground floor, which makes it easy to move things in and out. The front door is a heavy iron gate that we pull open every morning around nine. Inside, it’s mostly just one long room with a high ceiling. We have a few wooden benches and some metal shelves where we keep our supplies. The walls are a simple white, though they’ve turned a bit grey over time from the dust. We don’t have air conditioning, so we rely on two big pedestal fans that blow the papers around if we aren’t careful. There’s a small desk near the front where we keep the ledger and the phone. Most of the day is spent handling local orders and talking to people who walk in off the street. We’ve got a small backyard where we keep some of the larger items under a plastic tarp. It’s a straightforward way to work. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who have been working together for years. We usually wrap things up by six and lock the gate. It’s a good, honest place to spend the day. Sometimes the neighborhood kids play ball right outside our door.
