About Asian Coach Body Builders – Tourism in Madurai
We work out of a yard at No 63/2 B on the Main Road, right near the Anaiyur Bus Stand. This isn't an office job; it’s a workshop where we actually build the bodies for coaches and buses. It gets loud here with all the welding and metalwork going on. You’ll usually see a few skeletons of buses sitting around the yard in various stages of being finished. We’ve been at this spot for a long time. People bring their chassis to us, and we figure out how to put the rest together. It’s dusty and there is always the smell of paint and cut metal in the air. The location near the bus stand is handy for us because that’s where the drivers and owners are always hanging around. We don’t have a fancy reception area. If you come by, you’ll probably find us in greasy clothes working on a frame. We take measurements, cut the steel, and bolt everything down. It’s hard work and the days are long, especially when a customer is in a hurry to get their bus on the road. We just focus on the job at hand. The workshop is a bit cluttered with scraps and tools, but we know where everything is. It’s a practical business for people who need a solid bus body built. We just do the work and move on to the next one. We don't talk much, just get the building done.
