Youngman Woollen Mills Ltd

We are located out in Village Seera, right off Rahon Road. It’s a bit quieter out here than in the middle of the city, which we like for the most part. Most of our day is spent around wool. We see it coming in raw and then we work it through the mills. There’s a certain smell to a wool mill that you never really forget. It’s a lot of noise from the looms and the spinning machines, but it’s a steady sound that we are used to. A lot of the people working here come from the nearby villages. We’ve known each other’s families for a long time. It’s not just a job; it’s where we spend most of our waking hours. When winter comes, things get even busier because everyone starts thinking about warmth. The warehouse can get pretty cold too, but we keep moving to stay warm. We don’t have a marketing department or anything like that. We just focus on the fabric. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to fix them ourselves, which takes a lot of time. Youngman Woollen Mills has been a part of this landscape for years. We keep the gate open for deliveries and just keep the production line moving. It’s basic, honest work in a village setting. We like the pace here on Rahon Road. It's just what we do.
