Dee Jay Knitwears

Our place, Dee Jay Knitwears, is located at Plot No. B-25/1071. It is pretty easy to find because we are right opposite the PNB Bank. If you find yourself behind the R.K. T.V. Centre in Basti Jodhewal, you are basically right there. The machines make a lot of noise throughout the day, so you can usually hear us before you see the door. It gets quite dusty with all the yarn and fabric flying around, but that is just part of the job. We have been working out of this spot for a long time. The street outside is always crowded with bikes and people going into the bank. Sometimes the power goes out and we all have to take a forced break, which gives us a chance to chat outside for a bit. We handle a lot of different knitting work here, and the floor is usually covered in scraps of different colors. It is a family-type environment where everyone knows each other’s business. We don't have fancy showrooms or anything like that. Just the workshop where the actual work happens day in and day out. Basti Jodhewal is a busy area, so there is never a dull moment. We just keep the machines running and try to keep up with everything. It gets hot in the summer with the roof overhead, but we just keep the water bottles full and keep moving. It is honest work and we have been doing it this way for many years. We take pride in what we make.
