Vishal Silk Sarees

Vishal Silk Sarees is tucked away in Sector 44-C over in Feild Ganj. If you know the area, you know how the streets get packed with people and carts moving around all day long. Our shop is full of shelves that go all the way up to the ceiling. We spend a lot of our time pulling down heavy bundles of silk and spreading them out on the counter. The lighting in the back is a bit yellowish, but it works for what we need. It gets dusty because of all the fabric moving around, so someone is always sweeping the floor. We do not have a big fancy display, just the sarees stacked up in their plastic covers. Some days are slow and we just sit around drinking tea and talking about the news, but then a group comes in for wedding shopping and we are on our feet for hours. The fans on the ceiling hum constantly to keep the air moving. We have had the same sign out front for years and the paint is peeling a little bit at the corners. It is a simple operation and we like it that way. Most of the people who come in are regulars from the neighborhood who have been buying from us for a long time. We just focus on keeping the stock sorted and helping whoever walks through the door.
