United Lathes India

We are United Lathes India and we have got our shop on G. T. Road, right across from the Uco Bank in Jugiana. It is a good location because everyone knows where the bank is. We have been here in Jugiana for quite a while now. The lathes we make are built right here in this building. It is a lot of heavy iron and precise cutting. The floor is stained with oil and there is always a bit of metal dust in the air. We do not have a fancy office upstairs. We just have a small table where we do the invoices. Most of the day, we are out by the machines. It is loud and it is hot in the summer, but we do not complain much. We have got a couple of ceiling fans that do their best. We do not have a sales team going around. People just know we are here on the G.T. Road. They see the sign and they stop by. We talk to them, show them what we are working on, and that is it. No pressure, just shop talk. We use a lot of local steel and keep our overhead low. It is a steady life. We open early when the trucks start rolling past and we close when the light gets too low to see. It is just how things go for us here in Jugiana.
