The Light Sewing Machine Works

If you come down to 459 Lakkar Bazar, you will find The Light Sewing Machine Works right by the Aashiyana Park Society. We are situated on North Main Road, which is one of those streets that always has something going on. The sound of the traffic outside is constant, but inside the shop, it is mostly the sound of metal parts clinking together. We have sewing machines in different states of being taken apart or put back together all over the workbenches. The light in the shop isn't the best in the evenings, but we have a few extra lamps that help us see the small screws and needles. Being near Aashiyana Park Society means we see a lot of the residents walking their dogs or heading out for groceries. The North Main Road gets very congested during the evening rush hour, so we usually wait a bit before heading home ourselves. There is oil on most of the surfaces here, which is just part of working with these kinds of machines. We keep our tools in old tin cans and wooden drawers that have seen better days.
